Posted on April 22, 2015 at 7:50 AM

This week on Transit Accessible Attractions we will be featuring the Oakland Coliseum.

The Coliseum is located on 7000 Coliseum Way, in Oakland, CA, 94621. The stadium is located near Hegenberger Road, next to the Oracle Arena. The Coliseum is home to both the Oakland Athletics (Baseball) and the Oakland Raiders (Football). The stadium is capable of seating 63,132 people when the top seats are available for use during football games. During baseball games, it can house around 50,000.

To reach the Oakland Coliseum, take BART to Coliseum Station and exit the train. Proceed downstairs and pass through the BART faregates, before reaching a footbridge that will take you directly to the Coliseum. The bridge crosses over the Amtrak tracks. If you are using Amtrak, exit at Coliseum Station and proceed up the ramp at the north end of the station, which connects you to BART and the Coliseum.

Another option to reach the Coliseum is to take AC Transit. All bus lines stop at the Coliseum BART Station. Here is a list of AC Transit lines that go to Coliseum Station:

646 (School Hours)

657 (School Hours)

805 (All-Nighter)

Bus lines 46, 73, 98, 646 and 657 all terminate at Coliseum BART, and lines 45, 356 and 805 don't terminate there but instead use it as a normal bus stop.

Stay tuned next week to see which attraction we'll feature next!
