With summer fast approaching in drought conditions, this week on Transit Accessible Attractions we will be featuring Waterworld.
Waterworld is nestled in Concord, near Downtown and the Willows: Shopping Center. This mid-sized water park features 25 water slides (9 of which are major) and 7 pool complexes, including a wave pool and a lazy river. You can spend the whole day there and just take a break from all the stress of work or school. It's a family fun experience and a great way to cool off in the summer from the sweltering heat.
The only way to reach the vicinity of Waterworld via transit is to ride the County Connection. On weekdays, ride Bus Line 20 to Willow Pass Road and Waterworld Parkway. On weekends, ride the 320, which also stops near the vicinity of the water park. If you are taking BART, exit at Concord Station, where both buses terminate. Due to changing routes and new summer services, please check www.cccta.org first to plan your trip.
Stay tuned next week to find out which attraction we'll feature next!
